2025 H2O Canoe Company | Prospector 16'4" | Brute Force Kevlar | Approx. 42 lbs
Looking for a quality used Kevlar canoe without the price of buying new? K-02 is a 2025 H2O Canoe Company Prospector 16'4" from our rental fleet at Kawartha Adventure Rentals.
This canoe has been in our rental fleet for two seasons and is currently being offered for sale as we rotate and refresh our fleet. If it doesn't sell, it may simply return to our rental fleet for another season.
It's a great opportunity to purchase a lightweight, Canadian-made Kevlar canoe at a considerably lower price than buying new.
Condition
This is a used rental canoe, not a demo or showroom canoe. It has been used for backcountry camping trips, portaging, cottage rentals and recreational paddling and shows the scratches, scuffs and cosmetic wear you would expect from normal rental use.
The canoe has been inspected by us and is in good usable condition with no known structural damage.
The photos and video in this listing are of this exact canoe – rental unit K-02, so you can see its current condition before purchasing.
We may have multiple used H2O Kevlar canoes available. Each canoe is listed separately with its own rental unit number, photos and video.
Why Buy a Used Rental Kevlar Canoe?
Our rental fleet gives you the opportunity to purchase a high-quality canoe at a significant savings compared with buying new.
These are real working canoes that have been used for what they were built for. If you're looking for a lightweight canoe for backcountry camping, portaging, cottage use, family trips or recreational paddling and don't mind some cosmetic wear, a used rental canoe can offer excellent value.
We're rotating our fleet rather than simply disposing of worn-out equipment. Canoes that don't sell may return to our rental lineup for another season.
H2O Prospector 16'4"
The Prospector is one of Canada's classic canoe designs. H2O Canoe Company's Heritage Series Prospector 16'4" combines the traditional symmetrical Prospector shape with a semi-round hull and moderate rocker.
It's a versatile canoe designed to provide a good combination of stability, maneuverability, capacity and predictable handling.
At approximately 42 lbs, the Kevlar construction makes it significantly easier to load, unload and carry than a typical plastic or aluminum canoe — especially when portaging.
The Prospector 16'4" is a great choice for backcountry canoe camping, portaging, cottage and recreational paddling, family canoe trips and multi-day adventures in places like Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park and Algonquin Provincial Park.
