Chipmunks are colourful little rodents with a very distinct look. They are members of the squirrel family but prefer to spend their time on and below the ground. Chipmunks dig a simple burrow with multiple entrances. These burrows are where they store food and build a cozy nest to sleep during the coldest months of winter.
